DCC Indoor Cricket
Thursday 7th October - 6.450 pm start / 6.30 pm meet.
Good effort from our chaps vs Freudian. Nice to get a win under our belts, even if it was an easy one. I think we could have sent in 8 Chris Tavare’s and still beaten their total score of 0 after 16-overs!
Next week’s match is on Thursday 9th at 6.45, so we’ll meet at 6.30. We’re playing an under-17 side, so they’re bound to be keen. It’s the last grading match and the league kicks off the week after.
As before, let me know your availability by Tuesday 7th and I’ll send out the selected team thereafter.
For those playing next week, it would be good to stop behind after the match for a drink, so we can discuss "tactics" for the serious business of the league. I use the word "tactics" in a very loose sense as I don’t think there are many, but Nick mentioned a few things last night that are worth learning from. Also, as we’ve played a few matches now, people may have developed preferred fielding positions, batting partners etc. so it would be good to run through this too.
